The Greens v Belverdere
The Greens looked nervous today but started the brighter of the 2 teams in this tense U11 Cup Final.
Captain Finley buried a shot from the right into the left corner of the net. A couple of chances went begging in the 1st half, Belverdere defending really well.
2nd half the passing improved and the greens looked to settle down, Belverdere pressed us high up forcing us to play well out from the back.
A scramble in theIR penalty box and eventually it was cleared but only as far as Finley who slotted the ball in the net with 8 minutes left on the clock. We still had a bit of good defending to see the game out. But well deserved win. Well done the Lads. And their 25th game undefeated all season. OUTSTANDING.
