About Us

Great Harwood Rovers are an FA Charter Standard Community Club, based at the Moorland Arena in East Lancashire.  A local club run by local volunteers for our local children, GHR FC is proud to be part of the Great Harwood Community.

Founded in 1975, the club now comprises of 27 teams for girls and boys ranging in age from Under 7s to Under 18s.  The Mini League also provides a great introduction to football for kids aged 4 to 6 years old.

The club is represented in various local Saturday and Sunday leagues, with team training sessions taking place on a midweek night.  GHR FC is managed and run by around 70 volunteers from the local area.  In any given week they collectively put in over 700 hours effort into running their teams and the Club in general.  The hard work and commitment of both managers on the pitch and also the committee behind the scenes is relentless and as a club we are constantly looking to welcome any new volunteers.

The Club is funded mainly from player subscriptions, but is also very grateful for the support of dozens of local businesses and the Football Foundation.
